Katie Price has been ordered to pay damages of £25,000 to her ex-husband Alex Reid.
Last November, a judge ruled that Katie must pay damages to the former cage fighter, to whom she was married from 2010 to 2012, after he sued her for breach of confidence, misuse of private information and breach of contract.
A judge then decided on Friday, following a High Court hearing four days earlier, that the former glamour model should pay her ex-husband £25,000, after misusing private information about his sex life.
Alex claimed he’d been “denigrated in the street” as a result of his ex-wife’s “disclosures about his sex life”.
During Monday’s hearing Mr Justice Warby heard that Katie Price was “bankrupt”, and noted that she had “not engaged” in the proceedings for some time.
Alex’s barrister Philip Williams indicated that the cage fighter would be in a “line of creditors”.
Katie, who was once said to be worth more than £40 million, was declared bankrupt towards the end of last year.
She had originally avoided bankruptcy a year earlier, after agreeing a plan to pay back the debt she owed.
Months before this, she pleaded guilty to hurling a “tirade of abuse” outside a school during a dispute with ex-husband Kieran Hayler’s new girlfriend, Michelle Penticost.
The judge ruled that Katie should pay £606 – including a £450 fine and court costs – which she offered to do via credit card. She was also given a five-year restraining order, forbidding her from contacting Michelle directly or indirectly.
This matter was the third of Katie’s legal battles in 2019, having first been banned from driving for three months, after it was found she was nearly twice the legal alcohol limit while at the wheel of her pink Range Rover.
