Katie Price and ex-husband Peter Andre have put aside their differences, publicly making peace on Twitter.
The pair were married for four years, eventually announcing they had chosen to go their separate ways in May 2009.
Since then, the pair have had a fairly tumultuous relationship, though in a tweet posted on Thursday evening, Katie suggested she was keen to leave the past behind her.
In her post – shared just shy of the 10-year anniversary of their split announcement – Katie wrote: “I had a tough year last year! A person stirred trouble with me and Pete which he reacted to protect our children!
“Yes I said things but I was upset and didn’t mean harm! Me and Pete love each other really lol !I’m sorry @MrPeterAndre if I hurt you!”
Peter responded to this with his own tweet, writing: “Do you know what, I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you.”
Last year, it was reported that the pair’s children Junior and Princess were living with Peter, during a particularly difficult time in Katie’s personal life, following her split from third husband Kieran Hayler.
A spokesperson for Katie told The Mirror: “What is important [is] that the focus is on what is best for the children during tough times as Peter has acknowledged.
“Katie is a remarkable mother, Peter is a wonderful father, together they are doing what is best for their children.”
After his split from Katie, Peter married medical student Emily MacDonagh, with whom he has two children.
Katie is now separated from her third husband, Kieran, and is dating personal trainer Kris Boyson.
