Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan has shared an incredible throwback photo of herself and her bandmates in honour of the 20th anniversary of their debut album.
On Friday, Keisha marked 20 years since the release of One Touch with a snap of herself and bandmates Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy on the day they signed their first record deal.
“20 Years ago today our debut album One Touch was released! Can you believe it?!” she tweeted. “We are super proud of the album all these years later. Thanks for all the support still to this day. We’re excited to celebrate an album that changed all of our lives.”
She then posted a photo of the trio as teenagers, commenting: “Throwback Friday… The day we signed our record deal... literally babes.”
Of course, it’s been well-documented that in the years that followed One Touch’s release, the band went through numerous line-up changes.
Siobhan was the first to quit the group, after which Heidi Range took her spot.
Five years later, Amelle Berrabah joined Sugababes in place of Mutya, while Keisha was later replaced by Jade Ewen.
In 2012, shortly after the release of Sugababes 4.0’s final single Freedom, the original three members reformed under the new name Mutya Keisha Siobhan, releasing the single Flatline.
After several delays to their album release, things went quiet for the band in the years that followed, although 2019 saw them debuting a new song under the Sugababes name, releasing a cover of Sweet Female Attitude’s Flowers in collaboration with DJ Spoony.
