The Prodigy Fans Invited To Line Procession Route Ahead Of Keith Flint's Funeral

Fans will be able to pay their final respects and, in the band's words, "raise the roof for Keef!".

Fans of The Prodigy have been invited to be a part of the upcoming send-off for frontman Keith Flint, which is taking place later this week.

In a tweet posted on the band’s official Twitter page, their fans were invited to line the procession route ahead of Keith’s funeral, which is taking place in Essex on Friday.

They said: “Fans are invited to line the procession route, starting at 3pm in Braintree, Essex on Fri 29th March, to pay their final respects & ‘raise the roof’ for Keef!

“If anyone wishes to lay flowers or tributes these should be sent to St Mary’s church in Bocking, no later than 2pm Friday.”

A map was also shared, along with a post explaining that while the funeral service itself will “just be for family and close friends”, it will also be played out on speakers so those outside the church are able to hear it.

Keith was found dead at his home in Essex at the beginning of this month. He was 49 years old.

Police confirmed shortly afterwards that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, following an inquest.

The Prodigy had been booked to play at a number of festivals this summer, including an appearance at Glastonbury, but in light of Keith’s death, the band’s remaining members have made the decision to cancel all of their upcoming gigs.

In the wake of Keith’s death, a number of prominent names from the music industry took to Twitter to share their memories of having met or worked with him, including Dizzee Rascal, Boy George and Professor Green.
