Kelly Rowland Is Definitely Not Up For Answering Questions About Beyoncé's 'Lemonade'

Awkward!

Kelly Rowland was really not up for chatting about Beyoncé’s new album, during a recent promo appearance.

Earlier this week, Kelly appeared on WGN-TV Chicago to discuss her partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs Of America and - in a shock twist - allergy medication Claritin, when the subject of ‘Lemonade’ cropped up in the conversation.

Quizzed about the album, Kelly said that she thought it was “great” and, indeed, “absolutely great”.

Interviewer Dean Richards then pressed her further, to which she insisted: “[It’s] really different. But getting back to what I’m here to talk about, Claritin. I’m very excited to be teaming up with Claritin and the Boys & Girls Club of America. We are actually getting to the whole re-building phase of the outdoor facilities that they have…”

‘Lemonade’ might be the album everyone’s talking about, but it’s clear not everyone is happy to see it crop up in the conversation, particularly when there are antihistamines to be flogged.

Kelly and Beyoncé spent 16 years as bandmates in Destiny’s Child, and have remained close friends.

Since the band disbanded in 2006, Kelly has appeared in Beyoncé’s Super Bowl half-time show as well as the music video for her song ‘Grown Woman’. They also both collaborated with former bandmate Michelle Williams on her gospel track ‘Say Yes’.

In support of ‘Lemonade’, Beyoncé kicked off her ‘Formation’ world tour on Wednesday night (27 April) which saw her performing a mix of hits old and new, as well as paying tribute to Prince.
