The Sun has claimed Lauren and the other women were pulling each other’s hair in a scrap, before bouncers stepped in to separate them.

A spokesperson for Essex police would not confirm or deny the claims, but did say: “We are investigating reports of assaults occurring at around 1.30am on Sunday morning, October 9, on the first floor of the Sugar Hut in Brentwood High Street.

“Officers were contacted with reports three women were assaulted.”

A representative for the Sugar Hut, which is owned by former ‘TOWIE’ star Mick Norcross, downplayed the incident, adding: “CCTV recordings have been reviewed and there is no evidence of the alleged altercation.

“Sugar Hut operates a zero tolerance on violence and any persons acting or being violent to our staff or customers would be ejected from the premises immediately regardless of who they are.”
