Len Goodman might not be judging Strictly Come Dancing any more, but he’s still living up to his grumpy reputation over on the US version.
The Head Judge has shocked viewers after warning a contestant “not to touch him again” after they went in for a high five during the most recent episode.
Former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke was receiving her critiques about her Rumba when she got excited about Len’s positive remarks and ran over to the judges’ desk to give him a high five.
But despite praising her performance, he was in no mood for her excitement, saying: “Don’t get overwhelmed.”
He then pointed at her and sternly warned her: “Don’t touch me again.”
A confused Ally responded: “I gave you a high five?”
It wasn’t clear whether or not Len was having a bit of a joke, but his tone did not sit well with some viewers, who branded him “rude”.
Len has yet to address his comments to Ally, but they didn’t look to have affected her too much, judging by her Instagram Story.
The singer said she was “so happy” after her and partner Sasha Farber’s dance scored 24 points out of a possible 30, thanking the judges.
The current series of Dancing With The Stars features a number of big names, including Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, Dawson’s Creek actor James Van Der Beek, former NBA basketball player and former Mr Khloe Kardashian Lamar Odom.
