Game Of Thrones star Lena Headey commented on Wednesday’s appointment of Boris Johnson as the new prime minister of the UK by sharing this mocking image to Instagram:
The British actress captioned the edited image, which featured the faces of Johnson and US president Donald Trump superimposed onto those of the twins from the 1980 horror movie The Shining, with one word:
“FUCK.”
Lena took on humanitarian work helping refugees in Europe throughout her time playing Cersei Lannister in the epic fantasy drama, which came to a divisive end earlier this year.
She has also become a vocal opponent of the Trump administration’s policy of separating migrant children from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border and the horrific conditions for some detainees:
Lena is far from the only British star to criticise the new PM, though, with Stormzy referencing him on his chart-topping track Vossi Bop earlier this year.
The song was released in April when Theresa May was still prime minister, with the rapper declaring: “I can never die, I’m Chuck Norris. Fuck the government and fuck Boris.”
During Stormzy’s Glastonbury set last month, which fell weeks after May announced she was stepping down, the grime star even performed the verse in question twice, allowing those in attendance to rap the line in unison a second time.
