‘Line Of Duty’ Stuns Viewers With Character’s Shock Return

WARNING: There are spoilers ahead!

‘Line Of Duty’ viewers were left stunned on Thursday (31 March) night, thanks to the shock return of Keeley Hawes’ character DI Lindsay Denton.

Keeley hasn’t appeared in any of the promotional material for the show, and previously insisted that she definitely wouldn’t be back.

Hence viewers were left spitting out their tea when she suddenly rocked up on the show…

Keeley has since revealed how tough she found it to keep her comeback a secret, telling the Mirror: I couldn't say anything at events so I look like a crazy liar at things like Bafta drinks when people asked me about the show.

Keeley’s character is currently in prison, and viewers saw her appealing her sentence in court.

The episode was just the second in the series, and bosses are remaining tight-lipped on what’s in store in the coming weeks.
