A pub has been praised for embodying the true festive spirit after offering a full turkey dinner to anyone who will be spending the Christmas day alone.
The Alexandra, in Wimbledon, south-west London, said they would give anyone by themselves on the 25th a Christmas dinner and even buy them a pint:
At the time of writing the tweet had been liked and retweeted almost 2,000 times.
Many tweeted their approval on Twitter.
Staff at the pub also urged people not to criticise any pubs which could not offer to do the same.
They tweeted saying they were fortunate enough to have a spare kitchen and room, which enabled them to do so.
The pub is the latest eatery to make such a kind offer.
Shish restaurant in Sidcup was also praised for offering will open its doors to those who’d otherwise spend Christmas alone.
The Turkish restaurant said it would be offering a three-course meal at no charge to visitors in need on Christmas day.
