Yes, queen.

We love...

Cara Delevingne arrived at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding this morning wearing a top hat and tails.

The 26-year-old model walked into the ceremony at St George’s Chapel, Windsor in the middle of a group of guests that included a pregnant Pippa Middleton and her husband James.

And despite the celeb-heavy crowd, it was Cara’s outfit that grabbed the attention. Or rather her headgear.

Why it works...

Never one to be a wallflower, Delevingne shunned the traditional wedding guest dress for a snappy black suit and top hat, paired with towering black heels.

Part old-school movie glamour, part gender-neutral and now, the look also paid dividends in the stormy weather, which left many guests clutching their skirts.

Who else has worn it...

The top hat and tux combo was originally trademarked by the legendary film star Marlene Dietrich in the 1920s.

More recently, Zendaya wore a top hat with power blazer and matching trousers to a Vanity Fair pre-Oscars party earlier this year.

And five years ago, original style icon Sienna Miller was seen leaving the AnOther magazine party at LouLou’s nightclub in London wearing a top hat

Follow their lead...

If you want to buy your own top hat (but not break the budget) your best options are either Etsy (where they range from a reasonable £20 up to a far more pricey £270) or just opt for a fancy dress costumer supplier on Amazon where they are even cheaper.
