Love Island stars from previous series have led congratulations for 2019 champions Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea.
Monday night’s live final saw the couple named winners, beating favourites Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague to the £50,000 prize.
In the wake of their triumph, one half of last year’s winning couple was among the first people to congratulate the pair:
Others to post included Chris Hughes and the show’s narrator Iain Stirling:
Kim Woodburn even got involved, sharing an old picture of her and Amber, that we’re going to need the full story on:
The couple, in particular Amber, also won praise from their fellow finalists.
During the live show, Tommy said: “Amber has had a hard time in here, she deserves everything that’s coming to her.”
Greg and Amber will jet back to the UK with their fellow finalists at some point in the next couple of days, and if previous years are anything to go by, they could be met by hundreds of fans at the airport.
They’ll then be plunged into the world of showbiz for the first time and will most likely pop up on plenty of daytime TV shows and radio programmes in the coming weeks.
