Love Island will be lacking in cheesy banter this evening, as Anton Danyluk is set to be missing from the episode.
Anton – whose drama with Belle Hassan has become a mainstay of the programme this week – took some time away from the villa earlier this week due to an undisclosed illness.
A statement issued by a Love Island spokesperson has pre-empted questions about Anton’s absence, saying: “After feeling unwell during the day, Anton spent the night away from the villa and is subsequently missing from tonight’s episode. He has since returned to the villa.”
The episode will also make reference to Anton’s absence.
Without him there, the drama will continue and Michael Griffith will stir up trouble by revealing he does till have feelings for Amber Gill after all.
The firefighter previously ditched Amber for Joanna Chimonides but following the latter’s exit from the villa – which left him single – Michael’s apparently keen on Amber again. Hmmm...
There are less than two weeks left of the current series of Love Island, which will come to an end when the grand finale takes place on Monday 29 July.
