Love Island: Joanna Reveals How She's Feeling About Michael After 'Snake' Outburst

Joanna was the latest Islander to be axed from the villa, admitting she's "disappointed" Michael didn't choose to come with her.

Eliminated Love Island star Joanna Chimonides has admitted she’s “disappointed” in partner Michael Griffiths after he decided not to leave the show with her.

In Monday night’s episode, the Islanders had to choose between Joanna and Michael to remain in the villa, after they were revealed as the least popular couple.

After Joanna’s name was called, she branded him a “snake” when he failed to say he’d come with her, as he had earlier been been told by ex Amber Gill that she still has feelings for him.

Speaking shortly after her exit, Joanna said: “Part of me expected Michael to leave with me, however I don’t want to be in control of someone’s life journey and if he wants to continue in the villa, to get to know someone else or see where things go, I’ve got respect for that.

“It is a bit disappointing but I’d never hold that against him.”

She went on to say she is “in limbo” about her feelings towards Michael, noting: “We got along well and had lots in common and laughed together but for me I need to put it on pause and then we can see what happens when he leaves the villa.”

Joanna’s departure leaves Michael on his own once again, but we reckon it won’t stay that way for long, as two new girls – Harley and India – are about to enter the villa, both of whom have admitted to having a soft spot for him.

Rugby player Greg is also among the three new bombshells, and he’s revealed he has his eye on Maura Higgins, who has just made it official with Curtis Pritchard.

Find out how the three newbies settle in during Tuesday’s Love Island, at 9pm on ITV2.
