Anyone that knows me knows that art is, and always has been, such a huge passion of mine so when I was invited for a tour of the Mondrian exhibition at the Tate in Liverpool I was overjoyed! Thank you again to the team for making my visit such an enjoyable one, and in particular to Artistic Director Francesco Manacorda for taking me round the exhibition and giving me a wonderful insight into the life of one of my favourite artists. I can't recommend it enough and continue to rave about it to anyone who will listen!
For me fashion and art go hand in hand, with so many designers taking influence from artists both past and present, resurrecting their work with a fashionable twist on the catwalk. Throughout many of my own collections you'll notice inspiration from the art world and more recently you'll probably recognise influences from Henri Matisse's cut-outs throughout my AW14 collection. Here I thought I'd share ten of my favourite 'fashion meets art' collaborations, from Mondrian and Yves Saint Laurent to Louise Bourgeois and Commes Des Garcons, it's a recap of fashion's most artistic moments with a few of my own designs thrown in for good measure!
