Man In Critical Condition After Falling From University Of Warwick Building

He is aged in his 20s.

A man in his 20s has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a building at the Warwick University Coventry campus on Monday morning.

Police and ambulance services attended the incident, which was reported at 11.20am.

According to The Boar newspaper, the campus was temporarily closed off after he fell from the Mathematical Sciences Building.

The man is in hospital with injuries which have been described as critical.

University of Warwick Provost Professor Christine Ennew said in a statement sent to staff and students: “A young man has been taken to hospital after falling from our maths and statistics building today. We’re extremely grateful to campus security and emergency services for their swift response and support. Examinations and other activities planned to take place in the building today are rescheduled and affected individuals are being contacted directly.

We’ve written to students and staff in this building and surrounding buildings to provide details of wellbeing support available. Other students and staff are also urged to access this support, and we will share more information with you as soon as we are able to do so.”
