Man Hospitalised After Being Stabbed and Run Over In Brighton

A 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death in a separate incident in Slough just hours later.

A man has been hospitalised after being stabbed and run over in a residential area of Brighton.

The 31-year-old victim was stabbed several times to the body and run over with a car, which was then driven away, in the Bevendean area of the city in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Emergency serviced were called to Norwich Drive at around 3.30am.

He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital, however was discharged later the same day.

Detective Sergeant Sebastian Day said: “The victim is very fortunate that his injuries were not more serious.

“We are keen to speak to anybody who witnessed or heard the incident or who has any information relating to it.”

A teenager was stabbed to death in a separate attack in Slough on Saturday evening at around 6.30pm.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested following the fatal incident, which is understood to have taken place during an altercation involving a group of men in Salt Hill Park.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and has not yet been formally identified.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Shearwood, of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: “This is a fast moving investigation and we have made an early arrest as we continue to carry out our enquiries.

“Our investigation is continuing and our officers are working to ensure we identify all of those responsible for this offence.

“Members of the public will see an increased police presence in the area today as we continue to carry out enquiries.

“I would like to further reassure people that we believe that all of those involved in this incident were known or associated with each other, and that this was not a random attack.”

Thames Valley Police have also urged members of the public to come forward with any information relating to the incident.
