‘Save Your Fake Prayers’: Marjorie Taylor Greene Ripped Over School Shooting Response

Critics say they want real solutions ― not more empty calls for prayer.

Critics put conspiracy theorist Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on blast after she responded to a school shooting in her state with a call for prayer rather than solutions for gun violence.

Two students and two teachers were killed on Wednesday during the shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. Nine others were hospitalized, and dozens more were injured.

The suspect is 14 years old and has been on the FBI’s radar since last year when he allegedly made threats online that included pictures of guns.

On her official X feed, Greene called on people to “join together in prayer for the victims” and issued a similar call for prayer on her personal X account.

But Greene, who says she is “100% Pro-Life Pro-Gun Pro-Trump” in her bio on X, earlier this year opposed a Justice Department program to help states with “red flag” laws designed to keep guns from high-risk people.

She’s also had multiple run-ins with gun-control activists. One in 2022 accused Greene of kicking her. In 2019, Greene filmed herself accosting gun safety activist and Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg, who she called a “coward.”

Given that background, Greene’s critics didn’t want to hear her call for “prayer” over action.

And many let her know, often in blunt terms:

Meanwhile, you are a gun loving cultist who has the power to address our children being murdered while attending school and choose not to.

Save your fake prayers. 🔫

How about you actually do something about guns.

Your “prayers” never saved any kid from a bullet. Which begs the question, “to whom are you praying?” since the only thing you worship is guns.

Hey @mtgreenee how do you type with so much blood on your hands?

Those kids needed you and your gun to protect them….where were you pic.twitter.com/blznXD0uf4

Another day, another school shooting. It's the fucking guns and the @GOP will do nothing about it. You're all bought and paid by the @NRA. Disgusting. Shameful. Pathetic. We see you, and we'll never forget.

Prayers without action are useless. You’re an elected official, do something about it Marjorie.

I have no problem with folks showing their support with prayers.

I just wonder when folks like Marge are going to do something to address the problem here on Earth.

Seems like God wants man to take responsibility for his own well being. Let's add some solutions with the prayers

what exactly are we praying for if prayer doesn't prevent it?

The hypocrisy is laughable

— Alien Must (@BlaineDetails) September 4, 2024

And the guns?
Or is this a bad time to mention them?
Wouldn't want to get in the firing line of thoughts and prayers. 🙄

— Sandy (@sandiechill) September 4, 2024

No, let's vote out every politician who is refusing to enact proper federal gun reforms. The blood is on their hands.

It is disgusting that the same politicians who make campaign ads waving their rifles around and shooting at dumb props turn around and only offer "thoughts and…
