Whether we’re roaring drunk at the pub, chilling on the beach or lying in bed, one question continues to boggle our minds: what is the meaning of life?
In her series of witty comics, Swiss illustrator Anja Wicki explores this unanswerable conundrum looking at three topics: health, honesty and energy.
“The daily life - with all it’s absurdity, tragedy, importance, unimportance and big dreams - was my inspiration,” she tells The Huffington Post UK.
“I like to combine absurdity and humour with deepness and tell enjoyable stories. I hope the readers can feel this.”
Wicki makes notes as she goes about her day-to-day business, whenever she sees or hears about someone’s story that may be interesting to sketch.
“For these comics I mixed reality and fiction. I started with a real piece and then created a fictional story,” she explains.
“I hope this comic makes the readers think about their personal meaning of life. And maybe in the end they arrive at the same conclusion as I – there is no meaning of life.”
