The social media smash hit of the Rio Olympic Games has been immortalised in a tattoo.
Swimming legend Michael Phelps gave birth to #PhelpsFace after throwing shade at his main rival for the 200m butterfly, South Africa’s Chad le Clos.
Now the ‘death stare’ has become a work of art by Livia Tsang, a Canadian tattoo artist.
She tattooed the most successful Olympian of all-time’s face on to the leg of her boss, Ricky Fung, who plans on covering the limb with other inspirational athletes, Global News reported.
“Aside from it being a funny photo, my boss actually has a lot of admiration for Phelps’ work ethic and dedication to his sport,” Fung said.
“The photo obviously became satirized but for him it’s more representational of perseverance and focus.”
