It was always going to be an iconic moment when Barack and Michelle Obama welcomed Donald and Melania Trump to the White House.

But the greeting at the front steps ahead of the Inauguration of the 45th President of the US was made more awkward when the new First Lady handed the exiting FLOTUS a gift.

No-one knows what was inside the blue Tiffany box, which was given to an unknown aide inside the White House.

But Twitter was having a guess - as well as generating one final Michelle Obama FLOTUS meme.
