'Mind The Gap' Voice, Phil Sayer, Dies Of Cancer Aged 62

Phil Sayer, known to millions as the voice of the 'Mind The Gap' announcements on the London Underground, has died aged 62.

The former BBC presenter passed away on Thursday.

His wife, Elinor Hamilton, wrote on his Facebook page...

As well as the announcements for which is he best known, Sayer also presented a daily show on BBC GMR in the 1980s and also read regional TV news programmes.

Sad to hear that the voice of a million ads, train announcements , great TV & radio star & lovely guy Phil Sayer has sadly passed away #RIP
