Miriam Margolyes' Sweary Account Of Her Meeting The Queen On This Morning Is TV Gold

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were forced to apologise.

If you’ve ever seen Miriam Margoyles on The Graham Norton show you’ll be familiar with just how fabulously unfiltered (and sweary) she can be.

But while Graham’s show is on way past the watershed, we were expecting the actor’s appearance on This Morning to be a little less explicit.

Two words: wishful thinking.

The Harry Potter star was on the ITV daytime show’s sofa in January, and it didn’t take long for her to turn the air blue.

Miriam was recalling the time she met the Queen to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield when she referred to herself as a “twat”, which prompted both presenters to issue an immediate apology.

We don’t think Miriam even noticed her sweary faux pas, to be honest, she was way too busy telling the brilliant anecdote about her encounter with HRH, which resulted not only in the monarch rolling her eyes at her but also telling her to “be quiet”.

Take it away Miriam...

Miriam, please don’t ever go changing.

It wasn’t the first time Holly and Phil were left red-faced on This Morning that week.

The ITV show kicked off the new year by introducing a brand new competition, but things didn’t go quite according to plan.

The programme has been extended by half an hour and as part of the new look, Holy and Phil were tasked with giving away a holiday to one lucky viewer.

The first ever game of Spin To Win gifted viewer Anne with an all-expenses paid trip to Edinburgh.

Sounds lovely, right? Except Anne already lives in the Scottish capital.
