More Than 200 Sheep Dead After Lorry Overturns

The driver suffered minor injuries.

Some 220 sheep have died after a lorry transporting the animals overturned.

The crash happened on the A76 in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland at around 10:50pm on Monday evening.

We are appealing for witnesses following an RTC which closed the #A76 overnight. Crash happened around 10:50 PM last night (Monday 25th) near to Enterkinfoot, south of Mennock. The Wm Armstrong transporter, which was pictured on its side by Nithsdale Police, had been carrying 440 sheep. The driver suffered minor injuries.

The route has since reopened and officers have appealed for witnesses to the crash.
