Emotional Moment Mum Hears Dead Son's Heart Beating In Transplant Recipient

A mum has heard her son’s heartbeat for the first time since his death, after meeting his transplant recipient.

Lisa Swanson’s son Levi Schulz died in a car crash when he was just 18 years old, back in December 2012.

Meanwhile Terry Hooper, now 64, had been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy - a chronic disease of the heart muscle.

Terry's life was saved when he received the teenager’s heart in a transplant.

Terry met with Lisa, Levi's mum, for the first time recently at the Nebraska Medical Centre in Omaha.

In the emotional video above, the pair are seen embracing while Terry calls Levi his "hero".
