A mum who has 10 sons has finally given birth to a baby girl.
Alexis Brett, from Aberdeen, shares her family’s journey on her Facebook page, Mum To 10 Boys. She recently announced she had given birth to her first daughter, on 27 August 2019, and named her Cameron.
The 39-year-old has 10 sons ranging from age 17 to two-years-old, as well as her newborn – but says she’s definitely stopping now.
“I’d been expecting to hear we were having another boy,” the mum said, according to LadBible. “But when I found out it was a girl, my face was a picture. I was shocked, but delighted. Now she’s here with us, it’s a fantastic feeling.”
The mum said Cameron was an “unexpected” pregnancy, but she’s over the moon that she now has another girl in the house.
Back in April, the mum shared the news that she was expecting a girl, writing that she was “way out of her depth” when shopping for baby clothes and testing out baby names.
She shares the ups and downs of life with a big family on her Facebook page.
Previously speaking to the Daily Mail, Brett said it was never her intention to have a big family, but she just “kept falling pregnant”.
“David [her husband] and I do sometimes look at each other to say, ‘What have we done?’ but then when the boys come out with something funny and make us laugh it makes it all worthwhile,” she said.
“We feel like we’ve created a unique family unit.”
