This Mum's 3 Kids Got Hold Of A Hair Clipper – You Can Imagine What Happened Next

“Mummy, can you put more hair on my head?”

It’s one thing when your child cuts their fringe off with a pair of scissors – it’s a whole other ballgame when they get hold of the clippers as US mum Stephanie Plucknette found out this past weekend

Her three children – aged five, three, and two – were alone for about 10 minutes when they managed to find the buzz cutter.

The oldest, Freddy, gave his younger two siblings haircuts – and he was “proud at first” to show his mum. Plucknette posted a video of the moment she saw her kids’ hair on Instagram, which her younger brother then shared on Twitter.

Y’all, my nephew found the electric shaver and went wild 😂😂😂😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/qdPbwYzs10

Initially sobbing, Plucknette films herself saying: “I’m crying because... look!” She pans the camera around to her three kids, who seem shocked at their mum’s reaction.

“She said she wanted me to do that so I did it,” her eldest child Freddy told the camera, speaking about his youngest sister who had the back of her head shaved off.

Trying to reassure herself, the mum says out loud: “It’s just hair, and it’s going to grow back – mummy is okay.” Her daughter can later be heard saying: “Mummy, can you put more hair on my head?”

The video has had 8.5 million views on Twitter at the time of writing, with 200,000 retweets and 450,000 likes.

Plucknette told BuzzFeed News she and her husband decided to shave the rest of the kids’ hair off – and have assured them it’ll grow back.

Far from judge the mum, parents on Twitter could sympathise.

I've definitely seen this. So many kids get hair happy with the scissors in primary school. The fact she was able to laugh it off. Keep the kids calm and not get mad was amazing.

I love how she was freaked out but didn’t show it too much for them to freak out. She assured her kids saying “it’s okay, it’s just hair, it will grow back, you still look like a girl, we can fix it”

This mom is so understanding and communicative with her kids, it’s wonderful to watch. When the kid admitted he cut his brother’s hair and she told him “Honesty, that’s good! It’s just hair, it grows back” THAT WAS GOOD PARENTING RIGHT THERE.
