Nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be so hard!
Yup, being a mummy has its challenges. I wouldn't change it for the world, my little girl is absolutely incredible and I love her more every day, but being a working mummy from day one has definitely made this new life an awful lot more difficult!
The first six weeks lulled me into a false sense of security!
My baby girl slept whenever she wasn't feeding, so I knew that once I'd fed her I had a couple of hours to sit and work. If she didn't want to sleep in her Moses basket, no problem! Into the sling and I was all set to get some work done.
What a dream that was!
Then we hit the eight week mark and everything changed!
Now don't get me wrong... I love love love :
The park walks
The play time
And all the cuddles!
But... it doesn't leave me much time to get any work done!
I snatch a quick email session when she has a snooze, I popped my invoices out while mum watched her for a couple of hours and I keep in touch with my team as best I can, but I can't help feeling like I'm not doing it to the best of my ability.
I'm someone who likes to give everything I do 100% and right now I need 300% to give everything my all.
So, fellow working mummies... how do you do it?
Your advice would be so greatly appreciated!
I don't want to let my business go, I fact I'm keen to grow it and enable it to thrive, but I also want to spend all the quality time with my daughter.
I set the business up to enable me to be a working mum, who runs my own work life balance and in theory so that I can get the best of both worlds... but how do I do it!
