Nadja Regin Dead: James Bond Actor Dies, Aged 87

She appeared in From Russia With Love and Goldfinger.

James Bond actor Nadja Regin has died at the age of 87.

The Serbian-born star was best known for her roles opposite Sean Connery’s 007 during the 1960s.

She played the mistress of MI6 station boss Ali Kerim Bay in From Russia With Love, before later taking on the role of a belly dancer in Goldfinger.

The official Bond Twitter account announced news of Nadja’s death on Monday.

The post read: “We are very sorry to learn that Nadja Regin has passed away at the age of 87.

“Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.”

Nadja began her acting career after studying drama and philosophy at university in Belgrade.

She had roles in a number of film and TV shows in Serbia, Germany, New Zealand and the UK.

Among the British shows she appeared in included The Saint, The Avengers, Dixon of Dock Green and Danger Man.

Nadja later went on to work in script production, before going on to establish a publishing house during the 1980s.
