Shopping for jeans is a struggle. It’s impossible to buy them without trying them on, sizes are different in every shop, and if they fit you on the waist, they don’t in the thigh or calf – and so on. It’s a time-consuming and frankly frustrating process.
Next plans to change that however with its launch of a new jeans collection that’s, wait for it, trialling in-between sizes including 11, 13, 15 and 17.
The new sizes will be available in classic skinny, slim and bootcut styles in five wearable shades: dark blue, rinse, white, grey and black. And best of all, they start from only ÂŁ22.
Jeans that fit and don’t cost the earth? Who knew the two could co-exist.
Shoppers responded positively to the announcement on Tuesday. “For women stuck between two sizes.....what a brilliant idea!” tweeted one pesron, while another replied: “So needed!”
Next said the new sizes are a response to feedback from its customers. “After spending time with our customers... we have decided to trial in-between sizes in some of our favourite jeans and tailoring pieces to ensure that we are offering them the best fit possible. To start with we will introduce sizes 11, 13, 15 and 17 and hope to roll this our in more sizes and styles soon.”
They’re currently available to shop online, with no word yet from Next if it has plans to stock them in stores nationwide (or in other bigger and smaller in-between sizes) – HuffPost UK will update this article if we hear more.
For now, you can browse and buy from the collection here.
