A police investigation has been launched after a man was shot in north London.
Officers were called to Wedmore Street in Archway, N19, at 00.45am on Monday, where they found a man suffering from gunshot injuries.
The victim, aged 36, has been taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening, and so far there have been no arrests.
A crime scene is in place and a police helicopter is providing support.
This incident follows a series of shootings, some fatal, in London over the past six weeks.
On 14 June, a 19-year-old man named as Eniola Aluko was found with critical injuries in Plumstead and died at the scene a short time later.
Officers were called on 18 June to reports of a man firing shots on Park Lane, Tottenham, north London.
Scotland Yard said a masked man approached the scene in a small black vehicle before exiting and firing shots in the direction of a takeaway shop where a group of men had congregated.
By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled the scene and no injured victims were identified.
A week later, Edward Simpson, 25, was shot dead at a block of flats in Feltham, west London.
Craig Small, 32, was fatally shot in Wembley on 5 July. Police attended the scene outside a shop on Monks Road; the victim was taken to hospital where he died a short while later.
Grineo Daka, from Stratford, east London, was gunned down outside the Phoenix snooker club in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, in the early hours of July 7.
On 11 July, a 41-year-old man was found by police officers suffering from gunshot injuries at around 11.10pm. He was taken to hospital where his condition remains critical.
