Oxford Circus Bus Accident Sees Pedestrian Suffer 'Life-Changing Injuries'

An air ambulance was scrambled.

A woman has suffered “life-changing injuries” after being struck by a bus near Selfridges on London’s Oxford Street.

The incident, which happened at around midday on Friday, saw the busy shopping road cordoned off by police.

The pedestrian, in her 50s, was evacuated from the scene by ambulance and taken to hospital where she is being treated for chest and facial injuries.

Pictures from the scene posted on social media show a 189 bus to Brent Cross cordoned off in the middle of the street and what appeared to be blood on the pavement.
