A bar in Wales had its operating license reviewed after its DJ played out the theme tune to British children's TV show Peppa Pig when cops walked in.
The unidentified man played the music, which features snorting sounds, over the speakers at Cooney's Bar in Llandudno as two officers arrived one evening in October, reports Wales Online.
He also made oinking noises over the microphone, reports the South Wales Evening Post.
The North Wales Police officers were annoyed with the comparison to pigs and officially complained to Conwy county council's licensing committee, which regulates venues that sell alcohol in the locality, according to the Mirror.
They asked for the bar's opening hours to be cut, according to i100. They also claimed several similar incidents had taken place in the previous 18 months, reports the Daily Post.
The committee formally warned bar owners Joanne and Michael Cooney on Wednesday, per Wales Online.
Their opening hours remain the same, but they were told -- among a raft of measures -- to have licensed staff working the bar and trained door supervisors, reports the Morning Advertiser.
Joanne Cooney revealed the father-of-three DJ was still working at the bar and had not pulled any similar stunts since.
"I said: ‘This is your last chance, you are not allowed to have drink. If you have a drink then we will have to let you go.’ He’s been on his best behavior since,” she told Wales Online.
The preschool animated TV series broadcasts on Nickelodeon/Nick Jr. in the U.S., and revolves around female pig Peppa, her family and friends. Each episode lasts around 5 minutes.
