Phillip Schofield had This Morning viewers smiling on Thursday, after making a cheeky slip of the tongue.
The presenter was hosting a segment about package holidays with co-host Holly Willoughby and money expert Martin Lewis on the ITV daytime show, when he made an unfortunate sex toy-related gaffe.
A caller had phoned in for help about a package holiday she’d booked with Love Holiday, but Phillip got his brand names confused, and referred to the company as Love Honey – an online retailer specialising in sex toys – instead.
“Rebecca, if Love Honey” he began, quickly correcting himself, before saying: “Love Honey, that’s a whole different package coming through the door there. A totally different package holiday.”
A giggling Holly agreed: “Totally different, yeah.”
As Phillip later threw to the break, he was then seen collapsing back into the sofa laughing.
Seizing a free advertising opportunity, Love Honey had a fitting response to the gaffe, tweeting: “When you confuse your Summer hols with our Summer Sale. It happens to the best of us.”
Sharing a clip of the moment, they added: Unlike our pal @schofe here, our deliveries are 100% discreet.”
There have been laughs aplenty on This Morning this week, as on Monday roving reporter Josie Gibson amused fans with her reactions during a rollercoaster ride.
The former Big Brother winner had been sent to a theme park to cover their reopening, but left Phillip and guest presenter Davina McCall in stitches when her face mask slipped over her eyes on the ride, leaving her screaming: “Where am I?!”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
