"I hope you’re not insinuating his outrage is in any way professionally contrived. I won’t have it."

Piers Morgan is upset. Again.

While this regular state of affairs may not be news in itself, the Good Morning Host has this time managed to combine it with belittling a £10,000 donation to charity.

The tantrum began on Saturday when our stroppy star launched an attack on a “gay sandwich” produced by Marks & Spencer to mark Pride.

In a tweet, Morgan accused the supermarket of “cynical virtue-signalling” to “make a profit”.

For good measure, he added: “Shame on you , this is truly pathetic.”

Gay sandwiches? Is there no cynical virtue-signalling depth struggling companies won’t now plunge to make a profit? Shame on you @marksandspencer, this is truly pathetic. pic.twitter.com/XXpESUleqF

And boy was he annoyed – “enraged” even.

Jeez, it’s not even 9am on a bank holiday weekend Saturday morning & I’m already enraged.
Why is the world going so completely PC bonkers? #GaySandwiches #UnhappyBurgers #CelebrityVictims

He even suggested suggested a “white male straight” sandwich but luckily Boy George was on hand to quash that.

To be fair Piers, most sandwiches are white straight and male. Lol! It's the cupcakes you have to worry about! https://t.co/Qt0vCxpklQ

No you absolute plank because white straight men aren’t discriminated against for just existing. Bore off 🏳️🌈

In the meantime, Marks & Spencer has replied to the Good Morning Britain host, pointing out the sandwich in question was raising money for charity.

Hi Piers. We have given our popular BLT sandwich a twist to celebrate Pride and raise £10,000 for akt the national LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness charity.

But even this wasn’t enough to placate Morgan who managed to find fault in a £10,000 charitable donation.

REMINDER: @marksandspencer makes nearly £1000 a MINUTE in profits. So this magnificent gesture of pathetic tokenism will take them around 10 minutes to pay off... https://t.co/vzbq77cAGI

Cue ridicule.

REMINDER: your stance on this was boring yesterday. It still is today.

Are you crosser about this or Greggs vegan roll?

— David Baddiel (@Baddiel) May 5, 2019

£67m profit last year, I make that approx £127/min but I’m sure you were just rounding up Piers.

Just how infuriating Morgan is was recently illuminated by his co-host, Susanna Reid claimed Morgan drove her to drink when he first joined Good Morning Britain after a period of sobriety.

The GMB presenter had been teetotal for seven months prior to her co-host joining the show, but she has admitted that Piers joining the show pushed her into drink again.

“I tried ignoring it at first, before realising he was determined to prod and poke me until I was forced to have an opinion on something,” she continued.

“He now says he’s drained out of me the BBC neutrality that I carried with me for the first 20 years of my career – he’s right. Actually, it’s turned out to be a good thing.”

HuffPost UK will update you on Morgan’s rage as it drips onto his Twitter feed.

UPDATE: Morgan is apparently standing up for gay vegan Muslims.

I’m most cross on behalf of LGBT vegans & Muslims who’ve been further disenfranchised & marginalised by these bacon-laden gay sandwiches. https://t.co/r7WegVIssj
