Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan Hits Back At Gordon Ramsay After ‘Vegan Roast’ Feud

Will this ever end? Probably not.

Piers Morgan has started his week as he probably intends to go on, by going off on one about the completely inconsequential actions of another famous face on Good Morning Britain.

Monday’s episode of the breakfast show hadn’t even been on air for 10 minutes before Piers turned his attention to the feud he’s currently embroiled in with Gordon Ramsay, which centres on a vegan roast dinner.

No, we’re not kidding.

The two locked horns on Twitter last week, when Gordon tweeted a snap of a vegan meal being offered by one of his restaurants, with Piers labelling the dish “utterly revolting”.

During an appearance on James Corden’s US talk show, the celebrity chef then told Piers to “go and fuck yourself”, which went down as well as you would think.

Piers (obviously) tweeted as soon as he saw Gordon’s comments, taking the chance to point out his apparent hypocrisy as he’d previously made a series of disparaging comments about vegans.

Is this the same @GordonRamsay who when asked in 2016 if he had any allergies, replied 'vegans' - and who last year tweeted that PETA stands for 'People Eating Tasty Animals'? https://t.co/hWcCczClZ4

And on Monday morning, Piers got the chance to explain his problems live on air, which is just what viewers needed at 6:07am, isn’t it?

“The meat-free roast,” he began. “I was a bit surprised, not the Gordon Ramsay surely? He’s now at the forefront of the vegan revolution... and he’s not cynical, he’s not just doing it because he might make some money out of it.

“No no. He’s a proper pro-vegan guy... Or is he? This is what Gordon Ramsay tweeted about vegans,” he continued, as a tweet from Gordon which read, ‘I’m a member of PETA! People eating tasty animals.....’ flashed up on screen.

Susanna Reid (a vegetarian herself) weighed in on the matter too, adding: “I once did a feature with Gordon Ramsay about cooking Christmas dinner and said ‘What would you do for me for Christmas dinner?’ He said, ‘well perhaps you can have a carrot’.”

Gordon is yet to respond, but let’s be honest, this will probably run and run until the pair eventually bump into each other in LA and clear the air.
