Pink’s daughter Willow has a new “punk rocker” haircut, proudly shown off online by her dad, motocross rider Carey Hart.
Eight-year-old Willow now sports a shaved patch on the side of her head, reminiscent of some of Pink’s ’dos over the years.
“Loving my punk rock daughter,” wrote Hart on Instagram. “Remember everyone, fly your own flag. There is no box to be put in. It’s better to be your own self. Own it, and love it.
“And if anyone has a problem with it, tell them (politely) to move on. Can’t wait to see the woman you grow up to be. I have a feeling you are gonna be strong, fierce, compassionate, and caring. I’m so proud of you, Willow.”
The mention of people “having problems” is possibly a nod to the trolling Pink has received online in the past. Earlier this summer she went a bit meta, pre-emptively chastising herself and stating, “Fuck the parenting police.”
But comments on Hart’s Instagram were supportive of the haircut. “She is going to be a strong and beautiful woman just like her mum,” one person wrote. Another commented: “Go Willow, looks awesome!”
Willow is no stranger to unconventional haircuts – last year she had her hair dyed purple, and earlier this summer Pink dyed her daughter’s hair in direct response to Jessica Simpson being ‘parent-shamed’ for dyeing her own daughter’s hair.
Willow seems like quite a character – last year she filmed a rather bold ’makeup tutorial’. And her two-year-old brother Jameson does, too. Last week, Pink shared this adorable video of him laughing his head off wearing boxing gloves.
