A man will appear in court charged with a series of offences in relation to an attack on a teenage girl who was raped and stabbed after being dragged from a Pizza Hut restaurant.
The 17-year-old was assaulted on Friday evening in Epsom, Surrey.
She was dragged from the Waterloo Road takeaway at around 10.30pm and found 20 minutes later in a nearby park by police, The Press Association reports.
The girl was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting where she is in a serious but not life-threatening condition, Surrey Police said.
Costica Voedes, 32, of High Street, Epsom, has been charged with two counts of wounding with intent, two counts of rape, kidnap, false imprisonment, possession of an offensive weapon, affray and common assault.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at South East Surrey Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
