Princess Eugenie has arrived at St George’s Chapel for her wedding to Jack Brooksbank wearing a dress designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos and satin peep-toe heels by Charlotte Olympia.

Pilotto and De Vos, who founded the British label Peter Pilotto in London in 2007, are known for their innovative textile designs and modern feminine silhouettes.

The princess is also wearing the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, lent to her by The Queen, which made of rose cut diamonds pavé set in platinum, with six emeralds on either side.

The back of Princess Eugenie’s wedding dress had a bustle and large bow, as well as being slightly scoop-necked.

Kensington Palace said in a statement: “The low back feature on the dress was at the specific request of Princess Eugenie who had surgery aged 12 to correct scoliosis”.

The scar, which runs from the base of her neck, was visible above the dress.

The dress is decorated in a number of symbols that are meaningful to Princess Eugenie as motifs: a Scottish thistle, acknowledging the couple’s fondness for Balmoral, a Shamrock for Ireland as a reflection of the Bride’s maternal family and the York Rose and ivy representing the couple’s home.

Princess Eugenie has been wearing items by the brand for several years and they have worked closely together on the design at their studio in East London. She first met the designers when she was co-hosting an event in support of women artists.

Finishing off her wedding styling are a diamond and emerald drop earrings which are a wedding gift from her groom, Jack Brooksbank.
