Rochelle Humes has revealed the unusual method she’s adopted in order to get her daughter to eat her food.
The This Morning presenter, who has two daughters Alaia-Mai, six, and two-year-old Valentina Raine, has gone to great lengths in order to get her toddler to eat anything other than plain pasta and beans on toast.
Speaking on Heart Breakfast, the former Saturdays singer revealed she has recruited husband Marvin Humes to, well, we’ll let Rochelle explain...
“So we’ve gone to new lengths in the Humes household to get her to eat some food,” she says. “And it starts with my husband and it starts with Spiderman.
“She’s obsessed with anything Spiderman related so what we did, we went on Amazon Prime and ordered Marvin a, I mean it’s a beautiful thing, it’s a work of art, a sort of Spiderman outfit. It’s only worked!
“She’s eating every meal. I say ‘well Spiderman won’t come to visit you if you don’t eat all your dinner’.”
Except, there is one slightly awkward problem with the technique.
Rochelle explains: “It’s very unsightly. I’ll leave it to your imagination, it’s tight, it’s lycra. And yeah, very questionable in places. I’ll leave you at that.”
Blimey.
Following the birth of Valentina, Rochelle also opted for an unusual way to commemorate the birth of her second daughter.
The 30-year-old dried the umbilical cord into a piece of art, spelling out the word ‘Love’.
Sharing a pic of the artwork on Instagram, the shot also featured a bottle of placenta pills – the brand that Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy used after the birth of their babies.
The photo showed a gift tag addressed to Rochelle and Marvin Humes congratulating them on the birth of their baby girl.
UK-based company Placenta Plus makes capsules for women by freeze-drying their placenta and turning it into pill form. The company claims benefits include: “Healthy milk supply, prevent postnatal depression and reduce stress levels”.
