Royal Baby: Are Americans More Excited Than Brits Over Meghan And Harry's Son?

"AMERICAN NEWS IS GOING BANANAS" 🍌🍌🍌

While news of the royal baby swept the nation yesterday – much to the excitement of Brits – we weren’t the only country going gaga over the new arrival.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son is the first British royal baby to be born to an American, so you can imagine the hype. Brits’ excitement about the birth has peaked over the past few weeks – but did the US top it?

One tea room in California, where Meghan apparently once had a cuppa, celebrated by putting life size cut-outs of the royals in their garden, standing behind a pushchair. And a cafe in New York did the same.

The sign at @TeaAndSympathy says it all. Americans and Brits alike excited by the news, and say the Duke and Duchess of #Sussex are bringing the #royals into the modern era. #RoyalBaby #BabySussex #1010WINS pic.twitter.com/LgH8NSLPg7

By the looks of Twitter, others US news outlets and royal fans were just as happy about the arrival.

I love how obsessed some Americans are with the royal baby it’s cute

And some people weren’t into it (this is Twitter, after all).

Why do American News outlets feel it necessary to tell me an American about a foreign baby in the U.K.? Why should that even be important to me or anybody else for that matter? #royalbaby #idontcare

American Woman on Sky News saying she feels 'connected' to the Royal baby as it will have an American passport.

The world is full of fucking freaks.

I wish people cared as much about getting better healthcare or figuring out how to end the slaughter of Americans by guns as they do about the Royal Baby.

Wonder what they’ll do when the royal baby name gets announced? Here are the odds, in case you were wondering ...
