RuPaul’s Drag Race fans have been given a glimpse of how the werk room on the upcoming UK series will compare to the original.

And while you might have expected a big British overhaul of the studio, a new trailer has revealed bosses have decided to keep things familiar by mirroring the US version.

The werk room, which is where much of the drama happens as the queens make their outfits to be worn on the runway, bares the trademark hot pink look we’ve come to know and love.

As well of pictures of RuPaul adorning the walls, there’s make-up stations and a sofa area for the queens to sit and gossip.

Mama Ru has made a trip across the pond in search for a queen with the most charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent in all the land.

In the trailer, Ru can also be heard saying: “People of the United Kingdom, your Queen has arrived. It’s time to show off the finest charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent in all the land.

“So, God Save The Queens, because they are going to need all the help they can get.”

The release of the trailer follows a smaller preview of the series earlier this week, showing a silhouette of Ru on the runaway.

Drag Race UK was announced by the BBC back in January and will launch on online channel BBC Three in October.

Ru will be heading up the judging panel alongside BFF Michelle Visage, as the pair are joined by rotating judges Alan Carr and Graham Norton.

There will also be a series of guest judges including former X Factor judge Cheryl, legendary model Twiggy, Hollywood star Andrew Garfield, Chewing Gum’s Michaela Coel, Game Of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix and Spice Girls singer Geri Horner.

Last year’s Strictly champ Stacey Dooley and daytime TV’s Lorraine Kelly will also participate in the British Snatch Game, while Strictly pro AJ Pritchard will team up with his brother and Love Island contestant Curtis to take on a coaching role on the series, joining singer and producer MNEK.

Meanwhile, Michelle Visage has also been confirmed as one of the celebrities competing on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, which returns to BBC One next month.
