‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner Ryan Thomas was seen fighting back tears as he watched footage of the aftermath of Roxanne Pallett’s accusations against him for the first time.
During their time on ‘CBB’, Ryan was accused of punching Roxanne in the ribs “deliberately” and “repeatedly”, which she conceded was a “mistake” and an “overreaction” once outside of the house.
Having now won the show, Ryan was a guest on Jeremy Vine’s Channel 5 show on Wednesday, where he was shown a clip of himself crying over the accusations in the Diary Room for the first time.
Upon watching the footage back, Ryan was seen tearing up and struggling to get his words out, telling Jeremy: “Yeah, I’ve not seen any of that back. I’ve not seen anything back. It’s just… a bit strange…”
Ryan was then shown a clip from Roxanne’s interview on the same show from when she first left the house, which included a public apology to the former ‘Coronation Street’ actor and his loved ones.
When asked whether he accepted the apology, Ryan insisted: “Listen I think that Roxanne has been through a lot. ‘Big Brother’ makes headlines and sometimes it’s for the wrong reasons.
“I appreciate Roxanne’s apology and I think it’s time that we move on and look forward and not dwell on the past. I think she’s suffered, or suffering, enough, and I don’t want to be a part of that.”
His comments echo what Ryan said during his winner’s interview with Emma Willis, in which he said: “If she wants sort of forgiveness and it makes her feel better then I would rather give her that.
“I think she’s been punished enough by the public and the people around her.”
Since leaving ‘CBB’, Roxanne has stepped down from her morning radio show and an upcoming pantomime role, to take “time out” from the spotlight to “reflect” on her actions.
