Tshego Seakgoe, South Africa's first black woman to feature on the cover of Playboy magazine, on Thursday paid tribute to Playboy legend Hugh Hefner who died at the age of 91. She remembered him as the person who inspired her life.
"As Hugh Hefner once said: 'life is too short to be living someone else's dream' and he lived out all his dreams and inspired me to do so. May his soul rest in eternal peace," Seakgoe told HuffPost SA after the news of Hefner's death broke.
The Soweto-born model and actress -- who starred on TV show The Queen Mzanzi -- appeared in latex pants on the cover bare-breasted in May 2011. The landmark cover was headlined, 'Miss May'. The inside-pages of the edition featured other celebrities likes of Kim Kardashian-West, among other high-profile Hollywood stars.
"When I did the shoot I even forgot that I was naked, that's how comfortable I was with the team," she said about the now-infamous picture.
"Besides the team being great at Playboy, they also have a few charity organisations that they work with, which made me real happy because I have been involved in charities since I was a young girl," Seakgoe said.
