Scottish students are receiving their National 4 and 5, Higher, Advanced Higher and Scottish Baccalaureate exam results today.
According to UCAS, a record number of 28,300 have gained university places - including 3,800 from the poorest areas of Scotland.
The swathes of people tweeting about the historic day led to #examresults trending on Twitter, which in turn gave few people in England and Wales a scare.
Students across the rest of the country will receive their marks next week.
Meanwhile, many Scots were still eagerly awaiting the news and they weren’t afraid to show it on social media.
And, sadly, some people turned to Twitter to vent their frustrations after some disappointing results.
