Many of us are smug in knowledge that we have a three-day weekend coming up – so of course that’s a cause for celebration. And what better way to celebrate than with the latest instalment of AOTW (that’s animals of the week, if you’re not a regular).
From seagulls to cat mugs and, obviously, dogs – it’s all going on this week.

1. Birds-Eye View Of London
Seagulls have been photobombing Transport for London’s traffic cameras – and it’s provided us with So. Much. Joy. Mainly because TfL themselves found it pretty hilarious, too.
The birds became so famous on Twitter, in fact, that a video of one of them peering through a traffic camera has had nearly three million views.
2. Twinning With Tea
What better gift is there for a cat fan than a mug that looks just like your feline friend? Not gonna lie – we’ve already been perusing cat mugs online since seeing this, and added this one to our shopping basket.
3. Doggie’s New Booties
Looks like she’s pretty happy about them, eh?
4. Keep On Smiling
While we’re on the topic of smiling dogs, can we appreciate how happy this pup looks? Dog smiles are the best smiles.
5. Dog Finds Himself In The Dog House
Ozzie the dog was not in his owners’ good books this week after he wolfed down £160 quid of bank notes, forcing them to cough up a £130 vet’s bill to remove it all from his belly.
Luckily, they’re hoping to reclaim £80 of the chewed up cash from the bank, according to the BBC. Oh Ozzie – put it in your piggybank next time.
