Shocking Photo Highlights Humanitarian Crisis At US-Mexico Border

Mexican newspaper La Jornada has published a photo of a man and his small daughter who drowned trying to cross the Rio Grande river from Mexico into the US. The migrant crisis at the border has become increasingly dire as the Trump administrations zero-tolerance policy on illegal immigration has led to families being seperated at the border. The US House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a $4.5 (£3.3) billion emergency border aid package to care for thousands of migrant families and unaccompanied children detained after crossing the US-Mexico border.
