We've bemoaned royals for sticking to safe, neutral ensembles before (ahem, Princess Charlene), but we think Sophie, Countess of Wessex, may have finally shown us that a run-of-the-mill look can be pretty stylish.
The Brit represented Buckingham Palace during The Sovereigns Parade at the Royal Military Academy today, turning up in a nude skirt suit. But don't yawn just yet -- Sophie's take wasn't even close to boring. Between the intricate beading on the sleeves and belt, the peplum shape and the architectural hat, the countess proved that it's all in the details when it comes to going classic and monochromatic. No wonder she's the patron of the London College of Fashion.
Consider us convinced -- and inspired. Check out Sophie's outfit below and tell us what you think!
