Sansa Stark should have ended up on the Iron Throne.
There we said it.
And yes, we know the throne got melted in one of the most heavy-handed “symbolic” moves in TV history and Sansa did end up Queen of the independent North.
But if anyone was ready to rule all of Game Of Thrones’ seven kingdoms, it was Sansa... Or Sophie Turner herself.
Over the years, the actress has proved herself to be the MVP of the Thrones cast, posting the funniest videos, making the best comments and generally being someone we really want to hang out with.

1. When she posted this 💯 behind-the-scenes photo
The sunglasses, the lack of trousers, the vaping. It’s all incredibly weird and low-key iconic.
2. Her Game Of Thrones tattoos are brilliant
Sophie has two tattoos to commemorate her time on the show. The first is the date ‘07.08.09’, which is the date the actress found out she’d landed her Game Of Thrones role and her Stark sister, Maisie Williams, has a matching one.
The second commemorates their on-screen family and is actually a bit of a spoiler for series eight, as it reads “The pack survives”, in reference to the Stark clan.
3. As was the Big Sister Energy she displayed when Arya and Gendry got together
Whether you liked the plot twist or not, it’s undeniable that Sophie’s boozy reaction was Instagram gold.
4. She rivals Cersei in the wine department
Tyrion would be impressed too.
5. Her Las Vegas wedding was one of the happiest days of our lives too
Who needs a huge, swanky and well-planned bash when you can hotfoot it to one of the most iconic wedding venues in the world shortly after an awards ceremony?
Sophie and Joe Jonas got hitched in Sin City in early May, tying the front in front of some family, friends and assorted A-lister guests, shortly after the Billboard Music Awards.
In a surprising twist, the rest of the world was totally unaware of the wedding plan until Diplo live-streamed the ceremony on his Instagram.
6. Sophie’s friendship with Jessica Chastain is serious life goals
The two stars are in the latest X-Men movie and the promo trail has played out alongside the final season of Game Of Thrones – which Interstellar actress Jessica is a huge fan of.

7. When she gleefully dragged her brother-in-law for looking like Littlefinger
When Game Of Thrones spotted that Nick Jonas was resembling Lord Baelish, the singer got in on the joke and posted his own comparison on Instagram.
Cue Sophie arriving in the comments and writing: “Quit trying to manipulate me....... ugh I thought you died last season.” Great work.
8. Can we talk about her and Maisie’s Game Of Thrones sleepovers?
Their matching tattoos aren’t just a front – two women have built life-long bonds during their time on the show.
In an old interview, she offered a little TMI on the sleepovers she and Maisie had during their downtime, stating (via Vulture): “We just used to sit there and eat and watch stupid videos and smoke weed.
“I don’t know if my publicist will kill me for saying this. We’d get high and then we’d sit in the bath together and we’d rub makeup brushes on our faces. It’s fun.”

9. She adopted her Game Of Thrones direwolf
Sansa’s direwolf, Lady, was killed off in the show back in series one but Sophie had become so attached to her that she wasn’t ready to let go just yet.
As a result, Zanni became a member of the Turner household and remained a much-loved pet until her death in 2017.

10. Her review of goat yoga was perfect
Yes, we said goat yoga.
“I’ve never felt that excited about anything in my life, ever,” she said, with a totally sincere face. “And I’ve been proposed to and that wasn’t even the best day of my life, this was.”

Sophie has spoken candidly about her own experiences on multiple occasions, revealing what it was like spending her teenage years on the world’s most popular TV show and telling fans how therapy has helped her.
