South African Singer And Activist Johnny Clegg Dies Age 66

South African Activist and Singer Johnny Clegg died on Tuesday. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015. Clegg became fascinated with Zulu language, music and culture as a teen, spending time with Zulu migrant workers in Johannesburg. Using his music to defy Apartheid bans on mixed race performance, Clegg brought his cross-over style of music to the international stage.
